Policy Coherence for Development and Sustainable Development Goals and the Impact of COVID-19
UPCOMING FREE ONLINE EVENT
September 30, 2020 at 9:30am-1pm
The Liverpool World Centre will be hosting an online event on Wednesday, September 30th (9:30am-1pm) focused on the Sustainable Development Goals, Policy Coherence for Development and the impact of COVID-19. This free event is funded through the EU funded Intercap project. The Liverpool World Centre is a charity and development education centre. We work nationally and internationally to provide teacher training focused on important issues such as the UN sustainable development goals, environmentally friendly practices, migration, gender equality, and fair trade. We are currently preparing to host an online event to discuss the importance of Policy Coherence for Development (PCD) and how that plays a role in our local and national context. This year we aim to focus on how PCD closely relates to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and what we can do to be proactive about it. With the Liverpool City Council recently announcing its Climate Emergency Declaration and pledging its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) it’s an optimal time to be part of the positive change and conversations. We would greatly appreciate your participation in this meeting.
