The Great Schools Climate Assembly

The Great Schools Climate Assembly

Schools Climate Assemblies are based on the Citizens Assembly model – bringing together a range of stakeholders (young people, educators, policy makers, specialists & more), at the same table and on a level playing field, to explore important issues and move towards action and solutions together.

Supported by Dr Chris McLean from the University of Manchester’s extensive work and resources for schools citizens assemblies, since 2024 we have delivered these multi-school, multi-stakeholder events across Liverpool City Region, with over 400 young people, 50 educators and many, many local organisations, councillors, policy makers and experts by experience.

We can design Schools Citizens Assemblies on any climate or social justice topic. One recent example being a project with the University of Liverpool that brought their research with veterans of nuclear testing to life!
