Do you identify as Black, Asian, or as part of an ethnic minority? Do you identify as a woman? Do you work as a creative? And are aged 18-30 and live in the Liverpool City Region?
We are looking for five artists to produce creative responses to a series of research interviews and other material focused on the experience of WOC creatives. We are inviting applications from artists of all disciplines.
The commissions will contribute to a wider action research project being led by Tegan Tukana at Liverpool World Centre, as part of Generations for Change.
You will be asked to review the research, interpret, and produce a creative piece responding to the material. You will then attend a filming session in which you will present your work. All of the work will become part of a film being made to document and showcase the project process and findings.
Commission Fee: £500
Deadline: Monday 13 September, 9am
To apply, send you CV plus covering letter / video (max 1 side A4 / 3 minutes) to firstname.lastname@example.org, outlining why you are interested in the project, and how you might respond to the brief. Please give your e-mail the subject heading: Artist Commission Application
Successful artists will be required to attend a meeting on the 20 September, produce their creative responses in the following two weeks and attend a filming day in early October.
Individuals who fit the project criteria might also be interested in attending our online focus group on Wednesday 1 September, which will inform the ongoing research and creative process.
