Liverpool World Centre (working with TEESNet and funded by Oxfam) are looking to recruit 3 trainers to deliver a short (6hour) training course on Climate Justice to 25 trainee teachers each in the spring term. The focus of the training is to introduce trainees to the concept of climate justice, through the lens of gender. The 3 trainers will help shape the training, and be given the course materials, which are about enthusing trainees to find out more and explore ways to incorporate it into their teaching. The project is not about creating a comprehensive training for teachers or a collection of teaching resources – but rather an opportunity to raise awareness amongst trainees about the subject. The training can take place within an existing module, or on a voluntary basis additional to students lectures etc. The training is being planned to be delivered online, but it will be adaptable for face to face.
