Future Global Leaders Pilot reaching the Finish Line

Future Global Leaders Pilot reaching the Finish Line

The first year of Future Global Leaders is coming to an end. This year, the programme had 8 schools from Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. We are already hearing success stories and receiving messages from students and teachers about how much they have gained from being a part of Future Global Leaders.

“It’s inspiring me and helping me develop my leadership skills. We have led an assembly which has encouraged me to stand in front of each year group and speak to them to help our planet.
“The programme is encouraging everyone to think about being more sustainable, as in the assemblies everyone is shocked and many people have come to ask us if they could help fundraise with us and really want to make a change”. – Michael Phillips (Year 8, OLQP)

“The programme has really made the whole school (students, teachers, headteacher and governors) think about their responsibility in making our world more sustainable.  When the Year 8 group presented their plans to reduce plastic consumption in school to Governors, their response was how they really needed to think about their use of plastic bottles in interviews!” – Sophie Devlin (Geography Subject Leader, OLQP)

And these were quotes are from mid-way through the programme! Your school can be a part of Future Global Leaders, too. More Information.
