Get up to speed with the new Climate Change Strategy for school curriculum in under an hour. Register here.
LWC is hosting a compact online network event on the 26th of April 4-5 pm where you can hear directly from people involved in the consultation process of DfE’s Draft Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy, those in leadership who will have to implement the strategy, and from a young person.
Announced at last year’s COP26, the Draft Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy was meant to be a big news story… could this be the beginning of education for sustainable development in the UK? Are you comfortable with potential limitations on political debate in the classroom? Do you think it is right to ban students from attending climate strikes in school time?
Joining us are
• Richard Hurst (Education Advisor – Sustainability, Durham County Council)
• Jeremy Barnes (Headteacher – All Saints’ Catholic Primary School)
• A climate youth activist (TBC).
