We love delivering the Science & Civic Society Award for the Department of Life Sciences at UoL! Every year around twenty students take part in:
Participatory dialogue workshops:
- Thinking Globally, Acting Locally
- Values in Action
- Sustainable Development Goals
- The Reflective Practitioner
- Social Justice In Practice’
Students then undertake community placements across Liverpool and the North West, including working with youth centres, community hubs, refugee support organisations, community gardens and lots more, followed by a final placement reflection workshop and completion of a placement handbook.
